ANDEROL FG XL Series

A new synthetic Food Grade lubricant for compressors and vacuum pumps for the food grade industry increases the performance of the equipment and extends the drain intervals of the oil by at least 4 times.

A trend within the food grade industry is that rotating machines work with high revolutions, temperatures and smaller quantities of lubricant. Because of this the demand for improved performance of lubricants increases. The most important restrictive factors for Food Grade lubricants so far were the legal requirements for base oils and additives. Food Grade lubricants existed mostly out of mineral oil.

A disadvantage of conventional mineral oil is that it contains many unsaturated hydrocarbons with two and triple bonds between the carbon atoms such as alkenes and alkynes. These two and triple bonds break open easily at higher temperatures and then react with oxygen (oxidation). Resulting in precipitation in the form of insoluble polymers and carbon formation on thermal high loaded machine parts. For instance sediment formation in oil coolers and compressor valves resulting in blockage.

Due to the less good detergent and dispersion properties of conventional Food Grade lubricants pollution is not or in an insufficient degree incorporated and removed by the lubricant. Resulting, in time, in damage to the installation and a reduced availability.
